Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 0.75 cup light brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1.666 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 5 ounces TURTLES® Minis (halved)
  • 0.5 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips plus extra for topping

Method

Preparation Steps
  1. Brown the butter in a saucepan over medium heat until amber and nutty, about 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
  2. Pour browned butter into a mixing bowl, scraping bits for flavor. Let cool slightly.
  3. Add egg, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and vanilla to butter, whisk to combine.
  4. Stir in flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt until dough forms, crumbly yet oily is okay.
  5. Fold in halved TURTLES® Minis and chocolate chips.
  6. Using a cookie scoop or hands, form 24 balls, flatten slightly, place halved TURTLES® Minis on top, press in some chocolate chips.
  7. Chill the dough for at least 4 hours, up to 5 days.
  8. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheet with parchment or silicone mat.
  9. Bake for 12-14 minutes until edges are golden and centers are set but slightly undercooked.
  10. Allow cookies to cool on sheet for 10 minutes before transferring to wire rack.

Notes

Feel free to add chopped pecans or drizzle melted caramel on these cookies for extra decadence.
