  • 7 ounces dried egg noodles
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3.5 cups whole milk
  • 10.6 ounces canned tuna in water
  • 0.25 cup parmesan cheese

  • 0.333 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Combine bread crumbs and melted butter in a small bowl, set aside.
  3. Cook the egg noodles al dente in boiling salted water, drain and set aside.
  4. Cook the peas in boiling water until tender, then drain.
  5. In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat, whisk in flour then add basil, oregano, thyme, and salt. Cook for 1 minute.
  6. Gradually whisk in the milk and bring to a simmer, cooking until thickened.
  7. Remove sauce from heat, stir in parmesan cheese.
  8. Fold in the cooked noodles, peas, and flaked tuna.
  9. Transfer mixture to a baking dish, top with breadcrumb mixture, and bake for 20 minutes. Rest for 5 minutes before serving.
