  • 1.25 cup sugar
  • 28 oz pumpkin puree
  • 1.5 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground cloves
  • 0.5 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 12 oz evaporated milk
  • 13.25 oz yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup salted butter cold and sliced thin into squares

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. With an electric mixer, beat the eggs until frothy. Add sugar and beat until combined.
  2. Add pumpkin, cinnamon, ground cloves, nutmeg, ginger, and salt. Beat until well mixed.
  3. Gradually add evaporated milk and mix on low speed. Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch pan.
  4. Sprinkle yellow cake mix evenly over the pumpkin mixture. Spread sliced butter on top of the cake mix.
  5. Bake for 75 to 90 minutes or until a inserted toothpick comes out clean. Serve warm or cooled.
