Preparation Steps
- Preheat oven to 400°F. In a large bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, and salt. Make a well in the center.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat butter, sugar, and egg until blended. Add milk and vanilla extract and beat until combined.
- Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just moistened. Fold in chopped pecans.
- Mix cinnamon and additional flour to make topping. Spoon batter into muffin tin, sprinkle topping, then fill remaining batter and top with remaining topping.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
