  • 1 tablespoon garlic minced
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons ground pepper
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 jar (24 ounces) marinara sauce
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 12 ounces Mafalda noodles can use lasagna noodles broken
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1 cup cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese blend shredded
  • parsley to garnish

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. In a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat, add olive oil.
  2. Add diced onion and cook for 3-4 minutes. Then add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  3. Add ground beef, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until meat is no longer pink about 8-10 minutes. Drain excess grease if needed.
  4. Pour in marinara sauce, beef broth, and crushed tomatoes. Stir well and simmer.
  5. Add noodles and cook for 8 minutes until al dente.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and shredded cheeses until melted and creamy.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
