  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 ounce lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese
  • 3 cups tomato sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in tomato sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  6. In a baking dish, spread a layer of meat sauce, followed by a layer of noodles, then spread ricotta cheese, sprinkle mozzarella and parmesan. Repeat layers.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10 minutes until bubbly.
  8. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil if desired.
