  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 1 large onion minced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp ginger chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 0.25 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 0.5 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 0.5 tsp turmeric
  • 1 bay leaf bay leaf
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro chopped
  • 1 dash salt and pepper

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add minced garlic and chopped ginger; cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add ground lamb to the skillet and cook until browned, about 8 minutes.
  4. Stir in cumin, coriander, cayenne pepper, turmeric, bay leaf, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2 minutes to toast spices.
  5. Add tomato sauce and stir to combine. Reduce heat to low and cover.
  6. Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Add frozen peas and cook for an additional 5 minutes, until heated through.
  8. Remove bay leaf, garnish with chopped cilantro, and serve hot with rice.
