  • 1 cup finely chopped walnuts
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 zest of 1 large orange orange zest
  • 2 refrigerated pie crusts pie crusts (I use Pillsbury Pie Crust)
  • 2 tablespoons butter (melted)
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 honey honey

Method

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix cranberries, walnuts, sugar, and orange zest until combined.
  3. Lightly flour a surface and roll out each pie crust into a square. Brush with melted butter.
  4. Spread the cranberry mixture evenly over the crust, pressing lightly to adhere.
  5. Roll each square tightly into a log, pinch the edges to seal, and freeze for 20 minutes.
  6. Combine egg and water, then brush over the logs. Slice into 10 pieces each.
  7. Place slices cut side up on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 11-14 minutes until golden.
  8. Drizzle honey over the baked pinwheels and cool slightly before serving.
