Preparation Steps
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the cake flour, all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts until evenly distributed.
- Drop tablespoon-sized dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 12 minutes or until golden brown around the edges.
- Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
