Preparation Steps
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9-inch pie pan with no-stick cooking spray.
- On the stove top, melt butter in a pan on medium heat. Add broccoli florets and cook for 2 minutes, then add water and minced garlic. Cover and cook for 5-7 minutes until broccoli is bright green but firm.
- Remove from heat; finely chop the broccoli once cooled.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs and cream. Stir in shredded Swiss cheese, chopped broccoli, salt, nutmeg, and black pepper. Pour mixture into the prepared pie pan and bake for about 35 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove from oven and let stand for 5 minutes before serving hot.
