  • 1 cup mashed bananas about 2 bananas
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 0.25 cup seedless strawberry jam
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • drop red food coloring optional
  • null chopped walnuts, whipped cream, cherry optional

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with non-stick spray.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in mashed bananas.
  3. Sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix into wet ingredients.
  4. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 25 minutes. Cool completely before frosting.
  5. Prepare frosting by beating softened cream cheese, softened butter, powdered sugar, strawberry jam, milk, and food coloring until smooth.
  6. Spread frosting evenly over cooled brownies. Garnish with chopped walnuts, whipped cream, and cherries if desired.
