Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 8 oz brie round
  • 0.25 cup honey
  • 0.25 cup walnuts chopped - optional garnish
Cranberry Sauce
  • 6 oz cranberries
  • 0.5 cup apple cider
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 0.25 tsp ginger
  • 0.25 tsp nutmeg

Method

Preparation Steps
  1. Add the apple cider, brown sugar, and spices into a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring until the sugars have dissolved.
  2. Add the cranberries to the saucepan and bring the mixture to a boil over high heat.
  3. Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cranberries burst and sauce thickens.
  4. Remove the cranberry sauce from heat and let it cool.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F. Place the brie in a shallow baking dish and cut a few slits into the top rind.
  6. Spread a generous portion of cranberry sauce over the top of the brie.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Remove from oven, drizzle honey generously over the hot cheese, and top with chopped walnuts if desired.
  9. Serve immediately with crackers or sliced baguette for a festive appetizer.

Notes

Make sure to serve the baked brie warm for the best melty texture.
